A little information about our counsellor, David:

About myself....... I am an Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and a UKRC Registered Independent Counsellor. I have been practising for over 5 years now, including 3 1/2 years with Headway. As well as some private work I have worked for Stratford College as a Student Counsellor and currently work for Coventry University as a Staff/Student Counsellor. I'm also involved with Relate's Bridge Project, working as a group facilitator, dealing with various aspects of Domestic Abuse.
Throughout my time with Headway I have worked with many different types of acquired brain injury, and related issues. Within the service I have also worked with family members and carers.
By a process of evaluation and general feedback the service has proven to be worthwhile for many who have accessed it.
The service can be accessed directly by any member, in the knowledge that any contact will be treated in the strictest confidence. This is discussed during an initial assessment session, where clients are given more information about the service and what they can expect.
We offer up to six sessions initially, lasting up to 50 minutes each.
